The Youngstown City School District Preschool Program is a grant-based program that serves our youngest scholars. Children who, on October 1st, are either 3 or 4 years old and live within the Youngstown City School District boundaries are eligible to attend preschool tuition-free provided they meet the grant requirements. The Early Childhood Education Grant funds are used to provide preschool services to economically disadvantaged children whose family income falls at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. Families who live within the Youngstown City School District boundaries, but do not qualify for the grant, are given the opportunity to pay program fees for their child to attend our quality preschool program.
Children identified with disabilities are not held to the same grant requirements and we encourage those families to contact our Early Childhood Office for additional information.
The Youngstown City School District is only accepting online enrollment applications through Final Forms: https://youngstowncity-oh.finalforms.com Paper packets are no longer accepted.
All returning preschoolers must be re-enrolled each school year. This includes updating and signing all Final Forms pages and providing current and updated documents.
Please keep in mind that your child is not fully enrolled until you receive an email or phone call from the Early Childhood Office with your scholar's building name, teacher name, and the date they can start. All of the following documents must be uploaded to Final Forms or brought to the Early Childhood Office to process your enrollment:

Proof of Residency (current utility bill, lease agreement, or deed with name, address, and date visible).
