When there is inclement weather in which the district will need to be closed or set a two-hour delay, it is imperative we have up to date phone numbers and contact information, as the district will send notifications through robocall and text. 

Inclement Weather Closings: When school closes or is delayed due to inclement weather, the district will notify local news outlets, post a message to our website (www.ycsd.org), social media channels, and send communications through our communications platforms (robocall, text, and/or email).

Preschool: When there is a two hour delay, preschool will be closed.

Meals and Dismissal Times:

• Breakfast will not be served on two-hour delay days.

• All schedules will be delayed exactly two hours. This includes bus pick-up times, student arrival times, and the start of instruction.

• Lunch schedules remain unchanged and must be held at their regular times. Lunch will not be delayed.

• Dismissal will occur at the regularly scheduled time.

Employees
Staff who need to report to work will be contacted by their immediate supervisor. 

Youngstown Rayen Early College High School: For scholars taking YSU courses, the University operates on a separate calendar from the district's. Therefore, scholars may still have YSU classes.

Athletics Events: Games will or won't be canceled on a case-by-case basis.
