Markus McFolling shared his journey with Chaney Middle School scholars and gave an inspiring message about perseverance through adversity. Markus was a professional football player when a career-ending injury sidelined his dreams. He became addicted to drugs but emerged out of his addiction with a purpose.
Markus now travels the country speaking at conferences and schools. Youngstown City Schools is honored to have Markus join us at Chaney Middle School throughout the 23-24 school year. Markus and his team will hold workshops to engage scholars outside the classroom and help them grow as future leaders.
