Local hip-hop station Loud 102.3 sat down with the Youngstown City School District Esports team members about the amazing opportunities in competitive gaming. Electronic games (Esports) are where players from around the world face off against teams in online competition. In a few short years, the district’s team, led by teacher and Esports Director Charles Stark, has grown in membership with plans to expand to all the high schools. Esports is currently housed at East High School, however; all high school scholars have the chance to participate. Scholars have access to PC gaming computers and the latest video game systems.
