Since 2010, Ohio's Nonviolence Week has been a way to generate advocacy and awareness and promote nonviolence in our everyday lives. Nonviolence is not just a period reserved for one week out of the year. As the organizers state, "It's more than just a week of events. It's a way of living."

Superintendent Justin M. Jennings was among the speakers at the nonviolence week kick-off parade in Youngstown and was joined by district scholars and employees to rally and commit to nonviolence. For 2022, the week runs through October 2-8, including events, guest speakers, and panels. Take a look at the calendar of events, and learn more about the history of Ohio Nonviolence Week at the official Ohio Nonviolence Week website.
