The Youngstown Board of Education announced the appointment of Bryan Schiraldi as the new treasurer for the Youngstown City Schools. He was officially hired and signed his contract at the August 29, 2022, Special Board Meeting.

Schiraldi will begin his tenure on September 8. Sandra Huddleston, who served as interim treasurer, will now transition to the role of deputy treasurer

Schiraldi has spent over six years in finance, previously serving as the Lowellville School District treasurer from 2020-2022. Before that, he was a credit analyst with Farmers National Bank of Canfield and worked as a staff accountant for The Zidian Group. Additionally, Schiraldi was an associate accountant at Packer Thomas.

"The board is excited to welcome Mr. Schiraldi to the Youngstown City School District," said Youngstown Board of Education President Tiffany Patterson. "His background in school finance and experiences in banking will serve the district well. Our goal is always scholars' first, and his values align with that. We look forward to working with him now and into the future."

"I'm thrilled to be a part of the YCSD Family," said Schiraldi. I look forward to working closely with the board and Superintendent Jennings to serve our district in what's best fiscally while keeping our scholars at the center of our decision-making. It is an incredible effort I am honored to be a part of."  Schiraldi graduated on a scholarship with full honors from Youngstown State University (YSU) with a degree in accounting. He went on to earn a Master of Business Administration from YSU and attended courses at the University of Findlay to earn his treasurer's license.

Outside of his professional career, Schiraldi enjoys spending time with his family, friends, fiancé, Sydney, and their dog, Maggie. He is also an active member of the Lowellville Mt. Carmel Society.
