Join Youngstown City School District as we celebrate Farm to School Month!
Farm to School Month celebrates food education, school gardens, and local farms that help us provide scholars with healthy options. To keep scholars running, we order and use 23,000 cups of milk every week. We are grateful to Ohio Dairy Farmers for providing fresh milk to our schools. YCSD was also recently awarded a grant from the USDA to issue hydroponic farms to all of our school sites so scholars can grow their own food. The district has built the grant into curriculum so scholars not only learn, but be a part of the growing process.
