The Youngstown Board of Education and the YEA voted on ratification, and both parties came to an agreement. We welcome our scholars and teachers back into the classroom. YCSD looks forward to a productive and successful school year. The district will be in communications very soon to address updates as we transition to the official beginning of the 23-24 school year.
Dear YCSD Families,
We look forward to having our scholars return to the classroom on Monday, September 18th, as Youngstown City Schools have reached a tentative agreement with the Youngstown Education Association. The union will still have to vote on the agreement's ratification on Monday, but classes will take place with our teachers. Transportation will resume, and scholars who participated in remote learning can return their laptops and chargers to their school.
I know many concerns are lingering. The district will communicate with you soon to answer your most pressing questions.
