YREC Digital Outdoor Sign

WKBN recently stopped by Youngstown Rayen Early College High School (YREC)to highlight the only school in the Valley where a high school student can earn a high school diploma and the opportunity to receive an associate’s college degree.

Ronald Rosa, a YREC graduate, spoke about his challenging yet rewarding journey. He said one thing that helped him along the way was setting goals, which was a great motivator to keep pushing forward. YREC Principal Monica Jones echoed high expectations for scholars, but resources, such as academic coaches, are in place to help them succeed. That’s why this year’s graduating class saw 73 seniors graduating with degrees from high school and college, and since 2016, between 35 and 66% have graduated with both degrees.

For more information about enrolling your child at YREC, visit their web page here, or call 330-744-7923.
