Advocacy work is being done at the state level to fight for SNAP benefit adequacy and for no more cuts to the SNAP program. As part of this work, the Ohio Association of Foodbanks and its partners in hunger and poverty relief want to communicate about the impact that the end of the extra/enhanced SNAP benefits, also known as SNAP Emergency Allotments, will have on Ohio households. They are seeking stories from Ohioans about how this change in their benefits will impact them so that they can advocate for solutions.

The OSU Extension Community Nutrition Programs (EFNEP and SNAP-Ed) are working in collaboration with other Mahoning County agencies to assist the Ohio Association of Foodbanks with collecting these stories from SNAP recipients. They have created a survey to gather this information which is included in the link to below.
